Science, Statistics, or Computer Science, we would love to have you
join our team! We are seeking a PhD data scientist to support
multi-disciplinary teams performing a variety of quantitative tasks
for defense and national security applications. You will be joining
our diverse team of hardworking engineers, software developers,
data scientists, and analysts committed to advancing the
state-of-the-art in performance evaluation of the nation's
strategic weapons systems throughout their lifecycle. We believe in

multi-disciplinary teams to develop data collection, processing,
and analysis efforts to assess the performance of a number of
systems supporting the Navy and Air Force.Develop models and
simulations to describe data, predict events, and prescribe a
course of action that directly reflect stakeholder's needs across a
variety of domains.Build forward-thinking analytical solutions to
test and evaluate prototype and operational systems.Use internal
funding opportunities to shape the direction of future
research.Circulate knowledge by articulating ideas clearly through
papers and presentations to technical staff, management, and
government decision makers.
Qualifications
You meet our minimum qualifications for the job if you...Have a PhD
in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science or a
related field.Have research or professional experience in
developing analytical pipelines, data science applications and
dashboard tools, and statistical and machine learning methodologies
for specific quantitative goals.Demonstrate strong interpersonal
skills and the ability to work independently and on a team.Have
experience with Python and/or R.Are able to obtain Interim Secret
level security clearance by your start date and can ultimately
obtain Top Secret level clearance. If selected, you will be subject
to a government security clearance investigation and must meet the
requirements for access to classified information. Eligibility
requirements include U.S. citizenship.You will go above and beyond
our minimum requirements if you...Have research or professional
experience with statistical analysis methodologies and design of
experiments.Have research or professional experience with Database
languages and/or Data Science tools such as SQL, Scikit-learn,
Numpy, Matplotlib, etc.Have research or professional experience
with high level APIs and libraries for AI/ML development such as
Tensorflow, PyTorch, and/or the HuggingFace stack.Have experience
in project management or leading technical teams.Have experience in
writing technical proposals, particularly to government research
