In this dual-function role, you will be instrumental in supporting our operations by ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods, as well as managing vehicle movements and logistics within our yards. This position is tailored for individuals passionate about driving and who thrive in fast-paced environments. You’ll be a key player in our commitment to delivering top-notch transportation solutions, upholding our reputation for safety and reliability. Safely operate a tractor-trailer to transport goods to various destinations within scheduled timelines. Inspect vehicles for mechanical items and safety issues, reporting any deficiencies. Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicle. Implement effective communication with the management team on delivery logistics. Manage and organize vehicles in the yard, executing precise maneuvering and parking. Maintain logs of travel and cargo according to federal and state regulations. Adhere to assigned routes, schedules, safety procedures, and transportation laws. Proven expertise in operating commercial heavy vehicles. Strong understanding of transportation and logistics within a yard setting. Effective communication and time management skills. Ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
