Job Description
This role is responsible for both administrative and strategic,
functional responsibilities, which align with the organization's
Human Capital Management, Human Resources (HR) business operations
unit. This position shares responsibility for ensuring efficient
business operations through the effective management and execution
of the day-to-day operational tasks under the purview of the HR
business unit. HR operations responsibilities include onboarding,
offboarding, benefits, payroll interface, performance management,
the HR mailbox, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) updates,
and other activities that support overall HR Operations.
Job Profile Tasks/Responsibilities
- Provide a dedicated and effective HR advisory service to
employees that covers absence and health issues, conduct and
capability, organizational change, and other HR operations-related
matters.
- Support employees with efficient problem-solving when any human
resources issues arise. Respond to staff inquiries regarding
HR-related topics or issues. Seek management guidance for
appropriate responses to complex or higher-level communication
involvement.
- Participate in the development of HR objectives and systems,
including metrics, queries, and ongoing operational reports as
required.
- Ensure compliance with local and national regulations and
applicable employment laws.
- Manage the HR mailbox, ensuring same-day acknowledgment of all
emails during business hours. Provide issue resolution to the
recipient within 48 business hours. Maintain consistent
communication with the recipient if extenuating circumstances
prevent compliance with resolution timeframe guidelines until the
issue is resolved. Ensure consistent communication with appropriate
HR management regarding issues unable to be resolved within the
required timeframe or resolution requiring management guidance and
input.
- Facilitation of onboarding process in compliance with the
onboarding checklist and process documents.
- Develop, plan, or update onboarding strategies for the
execution of new hire orientation to deliver an exceptional early
experience.
- Serve as a point of contact for the onboarding of new
employees.
- Ensure execution of all process steps of the onboarding
experience.
- Maintain compliance with E-Verify and USCIS Form I-9 Employment
Eligibility Verification via the completion and submission of I-9
processing within defined compliance requirements
- Drive efforts of continual process improvement to ensure an
excellent onboarding experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and
documentation.
- Facilitation of offboarding process in compliance with
offboarding checklist and process documents:
- Serve as the main point of contact for departing
employees.
- Ensure execution of all process steps of the offboarding
experience.
- Drive efforts of continual process improvement to ensure a
compliant offboarding experience.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date HR files, records, and
documentation.
- Provide support to the HR Ops Benefits personnel and payroll
administration.
- Perform scheduled audits within the designated timeframe
detailed in process documents of HR files and records to ensure all
required documents are collected, completed, and filed
appropriately including but not limited to; onboarding, payroll,
benefits, HRIS and personnel files.
- Effectively utilize HR software to manage HR Ops elements
impacting payroll and employee benefits, including bonuses, leave,
etc. Execute accurate data entry and data integrity of HRIS.
Initiate approval process for all personnel changes, communicate
approved changes to necessary stakeholders, and file documentation
for recordkeeping. Personnel changes include but are not limited
to: compensation, promotions, title changes and transfers.
- Respond to and process verification of employment
requests.
- Follow the defined process as detailed in process documents to
ensure all workforce has a signed position description on file
within their first week of employment and/or within two weeks of an
applicable personnel change.
- Conduct U.S. new hire orientations.
- Prepare accurate and detailed process documents for tasks that
fall under the scope of the role, and file in the process document
repository. Maintain and update process documents as changes to the
process occur, and/or system updates impact process steps.
- Serve as backup and/or provide support to other HR team members
to ensure continuity of all HR functions.
- Promote organizational compliance with X-energy's HR policies,
values, ethics, procedures, and strategies.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment,
benefit laws, and regulations.
- Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all
forms of communication.
- Support team members with the execution of the core tasks and
responsibilities, listed in the Job Profile Task/Responsibilities
section of this document, under guided supervision.
- Perform other duties as assigned by manager.
Job Profile Minimum Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Typically, three years of experience in a relevant role
required.
- Experience using Microsoft Office Applications (Outlook, Word,
PowerPoint, Excel).
Location: 530 Gaither Road, Rockville MD
Work Site Expectations: 5 days in office
Travel Expectations:10%
Hours:8:00am ET to 5:00pm ET, Monday - Friday
Compensation
As required by Maryland and other applicable state law, X Energy,
LLC (X-energy) lists the expected compensation range for a publicly
advertised job opportunity based upon the job requirements (e.g.
education/training, experience, skill sets, etc.). Individual
candidates who meet the job requirements for the posted position
will be offered a salary within this range based on their
respective levels of education/training, experience, and other
qualifications unique to them. Salary ranges may vary based on the
specific office location and region referenced in the posting to
take into consideration differences in cost of living and may not
be reflective of all regions. Please note that compensation ranges
listed for US job postings reflect base salary only and do not
include benefits or other incentives.
A reasonable estimate for this position at the level of experience
required is:
$76,500- $97,750
