Coverage Needed

• Schedule: 24-hour call coverage, Friday - Monday, 6 a.m. - 6 a.m.
• Coverage Dates: September 1, 2026 - Ongoing
• 3 weekends per month

Clinical Details

• Specialty: Orthopedic Trauma Surgery
• Trauma Level: Level II
• EMR: Epic
• Support Staff: APPs available, no information provided on additional support staff
• 6a-4p Hospital rounds and consults, limited clinic
• 4p-6a On call coverage
• Average Admissions While On Call: 2-3 per day
• Average Inpatient per Day/Night: 10
• Average Consults per Day: 5
• Average Cases per Day/Night: 3-4
• Average Evaluations per Day: 5
• Types of Calls: Telephone; 30min Response; Beeper
• Typical Cases: ORIF Distal Radius, ORIF hip, ORIF humerus, community and high-velocity trauma (limb and hip fractures, pelvis, etc.)
• Procedures: Full range of ortho trauma cases, including ORIF Distal Radius, ORIF hip, ORIF humerus, Insert Intramedullary Nail, ORIF Clavicle, Irrigation/Debridement, Removal of Implanted Devices, ORIF Femur, Closed Reduction Radius/Ulna

Requirements

• Board Certified or Board Eligible
• Pennsylvania license
• DEA
• Fellowship Requirement: Must have completed an Orthopedic Trauma Fellowship and be a Trauma trained surgeon
