Surgical First Assistant Location: Clinton, MD Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,469 per week Shift Information: Days - 4 days x 10 hours Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Start Date: 5/4/2026 About the Position Job Title: Certified Surgical First Assistant Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: Neuro and Plastics Experience Required Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 Experience: 2 Years Required License: Must have a valid license Certifications: BLS, NBSTSA Must-Have: Neuro and Plastics experience required. Travel experience required. Call required - 1-2 weekends (Saturday and Sunday). Holiday coverage as needed. Description: The position requires experience in Neuro and plastics. Candidates must have 2 years of experience as a surgical first assistant. Basic Life Support and NBSTSA certifications are mandatory. Local candidates within 60 miles may be accepted at a lower rate. Candidates must have previous charge experience preferred. Experience with charting systems, specifically Cerner, is required. Patients of various ages will be treated in this role. Daily census is approximately 20. The facility consists of 6 operating rooms. The role includes the expectation of call shifts. Candidates should be comfortable with potential holiday coverage. Special skills required include acute hospital operating room experience and familiarity with various surgical procedures and technologies. Candidates should have a strong understanding of wound dressing and isolation precautions. Surgical first assistants are expected to effectively assist in complex surgical procedures in neuro and plastic surgery specialties.
