Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Washington,
Washington DC, 20007! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession:
Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day
Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 1. 1.5 - 2 years of acute
care travel experience is required. 2. Minimum of 4 years nursing
experience if first-time traveler. License: 1. Must possess a valid
DC RN License. 2. Pending DC license accepted; proof of pending
status must be provided at the time of submission. Certifications:
1. BLS required. 2. BSN preferred. Must-Have: 1. Ability to work
every other weekend; 50% weekends required. 2. Required to float
within units of equivalent or lower level of acuity. 3. Call
requirement in turn with unit staff. Description: This position is
for a busy surgical orthopedic unit. The patient population
primarily includes surgical patients who are recovering from
various orthopedic procedures, including total joint replacements
and spine surgery. Patient lengths of stay typically range from 1
to 5 days. We care for many patients with complex medical diagnoses
who are also undergoing surgical procedures. Daily
multidisciplinary rounds are held to ensure excellent coordination
of care. The nursing staff works collaboratively to provide
exceptional care to all patients. Patient-to-nurse ratios are
typically 1:5-6. Scrubs can be any color, provided they do not have
hospital logos. Charting is done via an electronic health record
system. Special procedures and equipment used in this unit include
PCA pumps and high-risk drips for pain management. 5 Benefits of
