Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: ICU - Intensive Care Unit - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 12 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Job Title: RN - ICU Location: Washington, DC 20037 Shift: Night, 3x12 HPW: 36 Duration: 13 Weeks Key Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU. - Operate and monitor advanced critical care equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, arterial/central lines, ECMO/tandem heart devices, CRRT, and infusion pumps. - Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and implement care plans. - Document patient care accurately in Cerner. - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes. - Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals. - Ensure compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Required Qualifications: - Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the District of Columbia or relevant state. - Minimum 3 years of ICU experience. - NIHSS, BLS, and ACLS certification required. - Cerner experience required. - Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
