Job Description American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Bel Air, Maryland. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Labor and Delivery - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 03/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position with rotating day and night shifts and every other weekend required. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Work in a Labor & Delivery (LDRP) unit within a hospital setting - Patient population includes antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patients, including high-risk pregnancies and C-sections - Unit features 14 LDRPs, 9 overflow beds, 2 triage beds, 2 antenatal testing bays, 2 ORs, 2 PACU bays, and a 9-bed Level II Special Care Nursery - Ratios: Triage 1:4, Early labor/induction 1:2, Active labor and C-section 1:1, Postpartum 1:4 - Special procedures include antenatal testing, triage, induction, high-risk management, and post-partum pre-eclampsia care - Work schedule is 3x12-hour shifts with rotating days and nights in a three-week cycle; straight nights may be available - Every other weekend and holiday coverage required - May float within the specialty and to sister units as needed - No on-call requirements - Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum stages - Opportunity to work in a unit that integrates labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care with surgical and nursery support - Must be able to work in navy blue scrubs - Holiday coverage provided as scheduled /n /n Requirements/n - Active MD or compact RN license required - Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience required - Current certifications: BLS and NRP required - Preferred certifications: ACLS, STABLE, FHM, AWHONN (Beginning/Intermediate/Advanced) - First-time travelers are accepted /n Benefits/n - High Pay and Bonuses - Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options - 401(k) Plan - Weekly Payroll Deposit - Free Online CEUs - Generous Housing Allowance - Travel and Licensure Reimbursements - Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy - Traveler Rewards and Discounts /n American Traveler Job ID P-670993.
