Job Description Position Overview: Johns Hopkins Hospital is seeking a skilled and compassionate Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our Oncology team. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a world-class academic medical center dedicated to providing exceptional cancer care. Our APPs work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver evidence-based, patient-centered care for oncology patients. /n Work schedule: Dayshift, Weekends and Holidays based on APP coverage /n Key Responsibilities: /n /n - Provide comprehensive care to oncology patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. /n - Manage acute and chronic conditions related to cancer treatment and collaborate with oncologists on treatment plans. /n - Perform procedures such as bone marrow biopsies, lumbar punctures, and central line management (if applicable). /n - Order and interpret diagnostic tests, including imaging and laboratory results. /n - Educate patients and families on disease processes, treatment options, and symptom management. /n - Coordinate care across specialties to optimize patient outcomes and quality of life. /n - Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and educational activities within the oncology division. /n /n Qualifications: /n /n - For ACNP: Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing with Acute Care Nurse Practitioner certification. /n - For PA: Master’s in Physician Assistant Studies and certification by the NCCPA. /n - Active Maryland license or eligibility for licensure. /n - Oncology experience preferred, but new graduates with strong clinical training will be considered. /n - Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills. /n - Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary environment. /n /n Why Join Johns Hopkins? /n /n - Work at a top-ranked academic medical center with access to cutting-edge research and technology. /n - Collaborate with leading experts in oncology care. /n - Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package. /n - Opportunities for professional growth, continuing education, and research involvement. /n /n Join us in delivering world-class oncology care at Johns Hopkins Hospital! /n Apply today to become part of a team making a difference in the lives of cancer patients. /n Salary Range: Minimum 53.15 per hour - Maximum 82.38 per hour.
