Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory Therapy Specialty: Respiratory Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 8-Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 40 hours per week Experience: Minimum 2 years License: Required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Must-Have: - Ability to intubate independently for both pediatric and adult patients. - Experience with non-invasive ventilation and mechanical ventilation. Description: This position involves providing respiratory therapy services, including assessment of patients, planning appropriate treatments based on physician orders and evaluations, and establishing goals and methods for treatment. You will set up equipment and administer treatments as ordered, such as oxygen therapy, humidity therapy, airway management, resuscitation, mechanical ventilation, postural drainage procedures, chest physiotherapy, BiPAP, CPAP, nebulizers, inhalers, and arterial blood gases (ABGs). Duties also include performing EKGs during designated hours as required, but not in the ER setting. Teamwork is emphasized, with a focus on having each other’s backs and maintaining the patient’s best interest. Candidates should have experience working with various patient populations, including adults, pediatrics, and neonates.
