Responsibilities
Our Registered Nurses in the NICU independently perform clinical
care to infant patients. Working with a dedicated team, the
Registered Nurse provides evidence-based, high quality care to
critically ill newborns and serves as a resource for other team
members. Our 26 bed, Level III NICU is a part of the Family
Childbirth and Children's Center at Mercy.
Requirements
* Diploma/degree from an accredited nursing school (a Bachelor's
degree in Nursing is strongly preferred, or agreement to enroll
within six months of employment)
* Registered Nurse license to practice in Maryland or the ability
to obtain a Maryland license based on timeframe of licensing
board
* One - two years of clinical nursing experience is strongly
preferred; new graduates with focused practicum or technician
experience in NICU will be considered.
* Healthcare Provider-Level CPR (BLS) certification, and NRP
required
