Job Description Job Description Job Title: Special Education Teacher – Autism (School-Based) Location: Ashburn, VA Position Type: Contract Duration: 17 Weeks Schedule: Day Shift | 8:50 AM – 3:40 PM Pay Rate: $45 - $47/hour Position Overview "Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Teacher – Autism to support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a school-based setting. This role focuses on delivering individualized instruction, implementing IEPs, and promoting students’ academic, behavioral, and social development within a structured and supportive learning environment. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students with ASD Deliver differentiated instruction aligned with academic, behavioral, and functional goals Implement evidence-based instructional strategies and positive behavior intervention plans Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, paraprofessionals, and related service providers Collect and analyze student data to measure progress and adjust instruction accordingly Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with state and district regulations Foster an inclusive classroom environment that supports communication, independence, and social skill development Communicate regularly with parents, guardians, and multidisciplinary team members regarding student progress Required Qualifications Valid Special Education Teaching License/Certification (State of Virginia or eligible) Endorsement or certification in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) or related area (as required by state guidelines) Experience working with students with ASD in a school-based setting Strong knowledge of IEP development, behavioral interventions, and differentiated instruction Preferred Qualifications Experience implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based strategies CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) or behavioral intervention training Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary educational teams Education Requirements Bachelor’s Degree in Special Education or related field (Required) Master’s Degree (Preferred) For more details contact at hdavda@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 516-862-1169.
